Bakot police have rescued a young girl forcibly kidnapped from her home, who stated in court on Wednesday that after her engagement was broken, the kidnappers repeatedly gave her intoxicating drugs, held her captive at various locations, and subjected her to sexual assault.
The case, registered at the Bakot Police Station, reached its logical conclusion with the arrest of the suspects.
According to details, the victim (A), a resident of Pakho Nakkar village, had previously broken off her engagement with a relative from the neighboring village of Phool Garan.
Some time after the engagement was broken, women from the ex-fiancé’s family allegedly came as guests to the victim’s home. During the night, they forcibly took the young girl to an unknown location, prompting her father to file a First Information Report (FIR) with local authorities.
Initial police raids failed to locate the victim or the suspects. However, a subsequent breakthrough in the investigation led to the girl’s recovery and the arrest of the suspects.
In her statement recorded under Section 164, the victim narrated a horrifying ordeal. She testified that she was held against her will and sedated with intoxicating pills whenever she resisted. She also stated that a marriage was publicized on social media, which she insisted was entirely forced.
In her plea to the court, the victim said, “My life has been ruined. I must get justice, and the accused should be punished so that in the future, no one dares to form a gang and kidnap someone from their home.”
