KARACHI:Government Secondary Teachers Association (GSTA) Sindh (Mahesar) observed protest in all districts of Sindh by wearing black armbands, pressing the authorities to regularize the services of IBA test pass headmasters and headmistresses with immediate effect.
Supporting their protest, the GSTA (Mahesar) demanded of the Sindh government to table a bill in the Sindh Assembly for regularizing IBA headmasters and headmistresses, get it passed and submit the same to the court.
On the directives of GSTA Sindh (Mahesar) President Maqsood Mehmood Mahesar, teachers in all districts of Sindh, including Karachi, observed a token protest in favour of the protesting teachers. The teachers wore black armbands and carried placards inscribed with slogans seeking regularization of IBA test pass headmasters and headmistresses, teachers should be given their due rights, injustice should be stopped, teachers should be respected.
Addressing the protesting teachers, Mehmood Mahesar said on the platform of the teachers’ organization, they fully support the demand of the IBA test pass teacher and would oppose their dismissal. He said that he stood by the oppressed teachers in their struggle and would continue to support their peaceful protests.
