Islamabad, September 14, 2020 (PPI-OT): An activist of Kashmir freedom movement, who had crossed the Line of Control in 1990s to come to Azad Jammu and Kashmir, passed away in Karachi, yesterday. He was 51.
The deceased, Bilal Ahmad Banday, who was originally from Kanimazar in Nawakadal area of Srinagar, had got injured in an accident some nine months ago in Karachi. After initially recovering from the injuries, he again fell ill some days ago and died yesterday at a hospital in Karachi.
He was presently living at Mehmoodabad Manzoor Colony area in the Pakistan’s metropolis. He was laid to rest at a graveyard in Karachi, today, and people from all walks of life including the Kashmiri community members participated in his funeral.
