Srinagar, May 07, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have condemned the continued illegal detention of Kashmiri political detainees languishing in different jails of India and the territory. Javaid Ahmad Mir addressing a condolence meeting in Srinagar said that resistance leaders including, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Aasiya Andrabi, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Dr Muhammad Qasim, Masarat Aalam Butt are behind the bars which proves the frustration of the Indian rulers and their agents in the territory.
He said the jail authorities are depriving them of their fundamental rights including the right of medical treatment. He said their health condition is deteriorating with each passing day because of non-availability of medical facilities. He said the Hurriyat leaders are being victimized for their political belief but they would not surrender before India and would continue their political struggle till taking it to its logical conclusion.
Illegally detained Chairman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir, Abdul Samad Inqilabi in a statement in Srinagar, denouncing the illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders, said that through such cheap tactics India could not suppress the ongoing liberation movement. He said the people of Kashmir would continue their struggle till complete success.
