ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has said the issue of Internet connectivity has been reported in the Internet data networks between the South and North which is causing Internet connectivity issues today (Friday).

In a Tweet, PTA said it is monitoring the situation and further updates will be shared after investigation. Meanwhile, Pakistan Telecommunication Company in a statement said that its optical fiber network is experiencing some technical faults due to heavy rains and floods. The statement said as a result of the fault, PTCL users in northern and central regions are facing internet outage. It said teams are working to restore the services on priority basis.
