Major surge in the gold market, per tola gold price increases by a massive Rs 7,700

The local gold market witnessed a major surge on Monday, resulting in a substantial increase of Rs 7,700 in the per tola price of 24-karat gold, which reached a new high of Rs 480,962.

Following this increase, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw a significant rise of Rs 6,602, reaching Rs 412,347. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold closed at Rs 377,998 after an increase of Rs 6,052.

This surge was not limited to gold, as silver prices also recorded a clear increase. The per tola price of 24-karat silver rose by Rs 430 to Rs 8,895.

Concurrently, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat silver was set at Rs 7,626 after an increase of Rs 369.

These changes in local prices reflect trends in the global market, where the international price of gold increased by $77 to $4,586. Meanwhile, the international price of silver rose by $4.30 to reach $84.20.
