Karachi, June 26, 2018 (PPI-OT): A delegation of Malaysian Company ‘Ranhill Holdings Berhad’ led by companies water department head How Ta Ratan visited Sindh Board of Investment office today where the delegation discussed the matters of mutual interest with the Chairperson SBI Naheed Memon.
The delegation informed Chairperson SBI that Ranhill Holdings has vast experience in Water Supply, waste water treatment and power sectors, the company has more than 3000 employees and is being listed with Malaysian exchange. The company has expressed its interest in investment in water supply, waste water treatment, billing and power sectors.
On this occasion Chairperson SBI Naheed Memon appreciated their services and experience in the specific fields. She said that Sindh province specially its mega city Karachi has been facing acute shortage of clean water and treatment of waste water. She said that water commission under the supervision of Chief Justice of Pakistan is striving to solve these long standing problems.
The chairperson SBI said that the services and interest of Ranhill holdings in these specific fields is appreciable and we need a comprehensive investment plan from the Malaysian company regarding their proposal so that it could be a feasible Public Pvt partnership plan between Kw and SB and the Malaysian Company.
The Malaysian delegation visited KW and SB offices where they meet MD. KW and SB and then the delegation visited the KW and SB pumping stations and Other sites of KW and SB in Dhabeji, Gharo, Chilya and on other locations.
