Karachi, July 18, 2018 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Major Retired Azam Suleman Khan has said that mobile towers will be moved to the remote areas of the province to ensure un erupted availability of mobile network during the polling day. This he said while presiding over an important meeting to review the arrangements made for general elections 2018. The meeting was attended by the Senior Member Board of Revenue, Secretary Home, Secretary Information and secretary Education while the divisional commissioners attended the meeting via video link.
The Chief Secretary Sindh noted that the Installation of CCTV cameras and provision if all missing facilities at polling stations should be made available till 21st July. The Chief secretary Sindh directed the secretary home to ensure the availability of mobile towers at remote areas of the province where mobile networks are not available, the home secretary informed that he had held a meeting with representatives of mobile networks to ensure the un erupted availability of mobile network during polling day. CS Sindh said that emergency will be imposed in all hospitals of Health Depts., during Election.
Secretary School Education Dr. Alya Shahid apprised the meeting that missing facilities have been furnished in 3290 polling stations. Chief Secretary asked the Commissioners to visit the polling stations to review the availability of missing facilities. He also advised the DCs and ACs to inspect 100% the facilities of water, toilets, electric and ramps for wheel Chairs to facilitate the voters. The CS Sindh directed officers concerned to make sure availability of all missing facilities at polling stations and negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
