KARACHI: The Karachi’s Baghdadi police on Saturday claimed to have arrested an accused involved in target killings, robberies and street crimes and wanted to police in several cases.
According to the police sources, a team of Baghdadi police headed by Station House Officer SHO conducted raid on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police SSP city Sarfaraz Nawaz in the area and arrested the accused Zakir son of Muhammad Younis.
The arrested accused was involved in numerous incidents of targeted killing, robbery and street crimes in different area of country. The police said to have recovered three pistols 30 bore with six magazines, 50 rounds and two mobile phones from the possession of arrested accused.
The arrested accused used to commit street criminal robberies and targeted killings in most cities of the country, SSP City.
The arrested accused is a habitual and professional target killer. The accused revealed during interrogation that several cases like murder and attempted murder have been registered against him in the police stations of different cities of the country, SSP City.
The arrested accused also used to rob most of the city’s mobile franchises, SSP City said in a statement. The accused has also been jailed several times. The accused sold his arms after the target killing, the police said.
The SSP city said that more than 20 FIRs were registered against the accused at different police stations of the country.
The arrested accused revealed that dozens of cases have been registered against him in different police stations of Rawalpindi Punjab, SSP City said. FIR No.217/2021 under Section 23 i A has been registered against the accused.
