Notorious dacoit arrested in injured state after police encounter on Thatta-Jungshahi link road

An alleged accused of multiple robberies has been taken into custody in an injured state after an exchange of fire with law enforcement agencies on the Jungshahi link road. A pistol, allegedly used in various crimes, was also recovered during the incident.

The encounter occurred today near Chothon Mile within the jurisdiction of the Makli police station. The arrested person has been identified as Abdul Salam son of Noor Ahmed Jatt, a resident of Gharo Golai in Sakro tehsil.

This action, on the directives of DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razzaq Khan Dharejo and the instructions of SSP Thatta Farooq Ahmed Bijarani, is part of the ongoing extensive crackdown against criminal elements in the region.

Initial police investigations reveal that the accused is involved in several serious crimes, including dacoity, robbery, and motorcycle snatching in Badin and Thatta districts. The allegedly affected areas include Gharo, Dhabeji, Thatta, and Makli.

The injured accused has been moved to a medical facility for treatment. Concurrently, authorities are verifying his complete criminal record, and police raids are underway to search for and apprehend his escaped accomplices.
