KARACHI:The opening ceremony of the Sindh Consortium of Universities for establishment of Business Incubation Centers (BICs) held at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM).
Dr. Aamir Iqbal Umrani, Director of Sindh Madressatul Islam University’s ORIC, briefed the ceremony about SMIU’s incubation center and said that being a partner of the Sindh Consortium of Universities, SMIU’s incubation center is working very well by guiding and providing business opportunities specially to the youth.
He said it was the only consortium in Sindh that has received HEC funding for establishment of incubation centers. The HEC funded Sindh Consortium of Universities has stablished business incubation Centers (BICs) in four universities of Sindh including Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), Karachi, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro, Institute of Business Management (IoBM.) and Dawood University of Engineering and Technology (DUET). The consortium is being led by MUET.
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Talib Syed Karim, President Institute of Business Management, and Dr. Tariq Rafi, Chairman Sindh HEC, Dr. Faizullah Abbasi, Vice Chancellor of Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Aamir Iqbal Umrani, Director ORIC, SMIU, Prof. Dr. Inam Bhatti, Director ORIC, MUET, and other staff and faculty members of all the consortium partner universities attended the event.
