In light of the current situation, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has set up a Control Room at its National Headquarters to ensure rapid and effective emergency response.
The organization has activated its toll-free Helpline 1030 to facilitate public access to essential humanitarian services. Through this helpline, citizens can request free ambulance services, blood donations, and psychological support.
The PRCS first aiders are on standby to provide immediate medical assistance during any emergency, while the “Blood Bank” remains fully operational to supply blood to hospitals in the twin cities- Islamabad and Rawalpindi- round the clock.
Citizens and relief agencies are encouraged to contact Helpline 1030 for any of the aforementioned services. Chairperson Mrs Farzana Naik emphasized, ‘Serving humanity is our foremost mission. The Pakistan Red Crescent remains fully committed to providing support during natural disasters, crises, and emergency situations.’
She added that the PRCS Control Room and Helpline continue to operate actively to deliver uninterrupted services to the public. In times of emergency, citizens can make a free call to ‘Helpline 1030-Your help is our duty’.
