A wanted person allegedly involved in serious criminal incidents has been arrested in an injured condition after an exchange of fire with law enforcement personnel, from whose possession a pistol was also recovered.
This armed encounter took place today on Shah Murad Link Road near a juice factory within the limits of Thatta police station. As a result of the exchange of fire, one suspect was injured who was later taken into custody.
Authorities have identified the arrested person as Shehzad son of Zafar alias Hashim Manganhar, a resident of Mohalla Masan, Thatta.
According to the initial police report, the suspect is involved in numerous illegal activities including crystal ice drug peddling, robbery, highway robbery, and motorcycle snatching in Thatta, Makli, and surrounding areas. He was also wanted in an old case of obstructing police work at the Thatta police station.
