Karachi, In a decisive move to curb escalating crime rates, President Asif Ali Zardari has instructed the Sindh government to initiate stringent measures against street criminals, dacoits, and drug traffickers. The directive was issued during a special law and order meeting held at the Chief Minister’s House.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, the meeting, presided over by President Zardari, was attended by high-ranking officials including the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, various federal ministers, and law enforcement authorities. Furthermore, President Zardari directed the completion of the Karachi Safe City project and other infrastructural developments aimed at enhancing security. He also instructed federal and provincial authorities to improve coordination for effective tri-border management among Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan.
The meeting concluded with commitments from various ministers to intensify operations against criminal elements and ensure safety and security for foreign nationals, particularly Chinese workers involved in CPEC projects.
