PTI’s lady worker gunned down in Quetta

QUETTA: Unidentified armed motorcyclist gunned down local female worker of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) near Shaheen Bunglows in front of University of Balochistan in Quetta on Saturday.

According to rescue sources, the PTI female worker Nargis Mengal was shot dead by unidentified armed motorcyclist near Shaheen Bunglows in the metropolis. The assailant managed to escape after swift operation. The body was shifted to Sandeman Provincial Hospital, Quetta and later handed over to the heirs after fulfilling necessary medico-legal formalities. Father of deceased, Ghulam Haider, alleged that his son-in-law Attaullah was involved in the crime.

It is pertinent to mention that four children of Nargis Mengal and Attaullah had earlier been slaughtered to death in their house in the precincts of Police Station New Sariab Road, Quetta. Police later apprehended the alleged accused.
