Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has stressed the critical role of religious leaders in upholding peace during Muharram.

Meeting with scholars from diverse theological backgrounds in Islamabad on Thursday, Naqvi highlighted that law enforcement”s work is as crucial as the clerics” contributions.

Emphasizing sectarian unity, he announced an invitation for scholars of all faiths to jointly offer Zohar prayers at Faisal Mosque on August 14th. This gesture, he explained, will convey a message of national solidarity.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary also underscored the importance of collaboration to ensure tranquility during Muharram and to combat terrorism.

Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad affirmed their united commitment to national security.
