Islamabad, August 19, 2020 (PPI-OT): The Senate on Wednesday passed another two bills related to Financial Action Task Force obligations to bring Pakistan out of FATF’s grey list. These bills are “The Limited Liability Partnership (Amendment) Bill, 2020” and Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2020.”
The bills moved by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan, incorporate various amendments to Limited Liability Partnership Act 2017 and Companies Act 2017 to ensure compliance with the recommendations on anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism issued by FATF.
Speaking on the occasion, Leader of the House Dr. Shahzad Waseem said under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan Pakistan is moving on the path of development and prosperity. He said the government has presented Pakistan as a peace loving and responsible country among the comity of the nations.
