Karachi, July 17, 2018 (PPI-OT):Sindh Social Security Institution (SESSI) has allowed its employees private hospital panel at Karachi, Kotri, Hyderabad and Sukkur, while Heart and Cancer patients would be admitted through a SESSI letter. This is stated in an office order issued following the caretaker minister for labour and human resources Simon John Daniel approval of staff union ( CBA) charter of demand on last Friday at a staff union ceremony at SESSI office. SESSI office order issued by Muhammad Zahid Butt Director Administration for SESSI Commissioner, stated that it will apply to the employees from BS-1 To BS-15 including BS-16 (Non-gazetted ) with effect from 1st July 2017.
As per order 12 employees will be sent for performing Hajj from ( 06 administration side and 06 medical side), while 6 employees ( 3 Hindus and 3 Christian) will be sent to their holy places in Pakistan once in a year and Rs. 30000 would be disbursed to them each. Order further said that children education allowance has been enhanced from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1300 per month and 30 scholarships has been granted with Rs. 1500 for primary , Rs. 2500 for secondary and Rs. 5000 for higher education per month. It added that utility allowance has also been increased from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1300 per month.
Conveyance allowance: has been enhanced at a rate of 20% and BS-1-to BS- 4 from existing RS. 2300 to Rs. 2760; BS-5 to 10 from Rs. 2415 to Rs. 2898; BS- 11 to 16 from Rs. 3450 to Rs. 4140. Special Allowance: Special Allowance to certain employees has been revised and Daftri’s Allowance from exiting Rs. 550 to Rs. 650 per month; Stenographer from Rs. 700 toRs.1000 per month; Cashiers’ 700 to Rs. 1000; Data Entry Operators Rs. 1150 to Rs.1250; Engineering allowance from Rs. 550 to Rs. 1000 Drivers, Auto Mechanic and D.R.A from Rs. 800 to Rs.1000, while Rs. 500 per month to Steno Typist and Rs. 1000 has been granted to lift and generator operators. Washing Allowance has been enhanced from Rs. 300 to Rs. 800 per month.
Medical facility: Rates for outside treatment of employees has also been revised and Labour Room charges from existing Rs. 2500 enhanced to Rs. 5000. Room rent charges: For BS- 1 to 11 employees existing from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 2000 and For Bs-12 to 15 from Rs. 1200 to 2200. Normal Delivery charges from Rs. 4000 to Rs.12000 and Operation Delivery charges from Rs.5000 to Rs.15000.
Amount of House Rent advance has been increased from 11 months to 15 months and its instalments will be deducted in 27 months instead of 22. SESSI office order also allowed deceased quota for employees. It has been agreed to nominate a staff union (CBA) member as co opted members in Sports Board and Medical Board. The provincial caretaker minister Simon John Daniel congratulated employees of SESSI and hoped that they will put new soul to make SESSI a model intuition for others to follow.
