Karachi:Karachi Sports Forum (KSF) will be starting distribution of ration bags among sportspersons, sports officials, organizers and ground staff, who has been affected due to lockdown in the city, from next ahead of holy month of Ramadan.
KSF Chief Organizer Syed Wasim Hashmi said that KSF has initially given ration bags among 26 different sports associations for people associated with them and have been affected by the ongoing lockdown in the city.
“We will be distributing ration bags, hand sanitizers and face masks before the Ramadan begins, during the next week,” he said. Wasim further said that KSF volunteers have been distributing flour bags among staff and guards working at different gymnasiums, sports complexes and grounds.
He said that KSF officials were also personally reaching to sports persons and organizers, who have been affected by the lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic and were unemployed at the moment. “In the second phase, we will give ration bags before Ramadan begins to different sports associations to distribute them among sportspersons and other people related to their respective sport,” he said. Wasim added that in the third phase, KSF would distribute Eid gifts.
