Three months on, six WMOs still not joined duty at Naundero hospital

LARKANA:The Sindh Health Department through a letter to the Medical Superintendent of Government Hospital Naundero has asked about the whereabouts of eight lady doctors transferred on 7th April 2021 and relieved from Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH), Larkana, over two months ago. However, two of them have reported for duty at the government hospital in the town.

The transferred Women Medical Officers (WMOs) include Dr Irum Shaikh, Dr Meena Kumari, Dr Pooja Kumari, Dr Bela Rani, Dr Komal Rani, Dr. Shushma, Dr. Shahrish Shaikh and Dr. Sanam Chandio.

The Medical Superintendent (MS) has been asked by the health department to furnish the present status of above-mentioned WMOs to the Health Department for further necessary action within three days.

MS Dr Muhammad Sharif Pirzado told this scribe on Saturday that Dr. Pooja and Dr Shushma had recently joined their duties but six others had not yet arrived at the hospital for performing their legal and moral duties to serve the ailing women of this area for which he had also informed the health department for initiating further disciplinary proceedings against them.
