Political News [Human Rights, Civil Liberties] Release Innocent Workers of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Immediately: PST

Karachi: The leadership of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST) has demanded the immediate release of its “innocent workers,” alleging that the party is being unfairly targeted and “pushed to the wall” despite its patriotic services for the country.

The demand was made today after an important meeting held at Qadri House in Nazimabad, presided over by Chairman Engineer Muhammad Sarwat Ijaz Qadri, Central President Sahibzada Allama Bilal Abbas Qadri, and Central Secretary General Sahibzada Allama Bilal Saleem Qadri Shami. A large number of party officials from various committees and divisions attended the meeting.

Addressing the participants, the leaders questioned why action is not being taken against elements raising “antiPakistan slogans,” while a patriotic organization is being subjected to persecution. They expressed grave concern over recent events, stating, “The sanctity of our homes and the four walls is being violated,” and demanded immediate action from the Governor and Chief Minister of Sindh against those responsible.

Reaffirming their loyalty to the state, the speakers highlighted their historical sacrifices for Pakistan. Sarwat Ijaz Qadri said, “Our forefathers and we have made sacrifices to create Pakistan and even after its creation.” He emphasized that PST “stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces of Pakistan” and is playing a significant role in national security and development.

Describing the alleged state actions as contrary to their fundamental principles, Bilal Abbas Qadri termed the mission of AhleSunnat as a “message of love, peace, and affection.” The central demands, articulated by Bilal Saleem Qadri and others, included the immediate release of arrested members and full compensation for “all our losses.”

The leadership asserted that “false and baseless allegations and cases can never block our path,” and expressed their resolve to register a strong protest “within the bounds of the constitution and law.”

At the conclusion of the meeting, the leaders thanked supporters from a wide circle, including scholars, saints, political and religious figures, and the business, legal, and journalist communities, for their expressions of solidarity, which they termed a proof of shared love for Pakistan.
