A 46-year-old man was shot and killed by unidentified assailants on Kashmir Road on Monday, prompting police to launch an investigation to determine the motive behind the fatal attack.
Police officials from the Jamshed Quarters station identified the deceased as Salahuddin, son of Moinuddin. The incident occurred near China Park, a prominent landmark in the area.
Following the attack, the victim’s body was transferred to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for the completion of all necessary medico-legal procedures.
Authorities in District East have initiated a formal inquiry into the shooting incident. The reason for the deadly assault is yet to be determined, and further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
