Islamabad Police today launched a large-scale search operation in the Golra area following a directive from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
The operation, part of a continuing effort to reduce crime in the capital, involved the inspection of 60 people, 100 residences, 10 automobiles, and 25 motorcycles. DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq explained that the objective of these operations is to suppress criminal activity and improve security throughout Islamabad. Similar activities are being conducted in other districts as well.
He added that the Islamabad Police force continues its impartial measures against offenders, illegal land occupiers, and narcotics traffickers.
The police department requests public assistance and encourages residents to inform their local station or call the “Pucar-15” emergency hotline about any suspicious behavior.
