The Central General Secretary of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, has stressed that the liberation of Bait-ul-Maqdis (Jerusalem) is an important issue for the entire Islamic world, not just a matter for Palestine.
He said that accepting the two-state solution, which is the basis of this potential agreement, is tantamount to formally recognizing the occupation of Bait-ul-Maqdis and Al-Aqsa Mosque by “usurping Zionists.” He pointed out that the 20-point agreement being promoted does not mention the liberation of the holy city.
Allama Naqvi expressed deep distrust in the implementation of any such agreement. He said, “The whole world knows that Israel does not adhere to any international law or principle because America and the entire Western world endorse its every heinous act,” he questioned who can guarantee the implementation of this “crippled agreement.”
The cleric described the rulers of Islamic countries supporting this proposal as “chasers of a mirage.” He predicted that if this agreement is approved, after the Palestinians are disarmed, eventually all Arab countries will have to face its consequences.
Allama Naqvi said it is a “matter of regret” that people in Western countries are taking to the streets in support of Palestinians, while in most of the Islamic world, public voices are being suppressed. He claimed that “Muslim rulers are harshly suppressing their own people for raising their voices for Gaza.”
He also criticized the financial priorities of some Arab states, saying that they “are willing to give trillions of dollars to Trump to support the American economy but are not willing to send food to the Palestinians.”
