The District City Police arrested two notorious criminals, Bilal alias Tension and Haris alias Ram Janay, after a fierce exchange of fire on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday within the jurisdictions of Chakiwara and Kalakot police stations. Both suspects were injured during the exchange of fire and were immediately moved to a medical facility for treatment.
Police recovered two pistols and a motorcycle from the scene, which indicates the suspects’ preparation for the clash. Both individuals had been on the radar of law enforcement agencies for a long time and were involved in multiple cases such as extortion, street crime, and drug smuggling, which had been causing problems for the city.
Bilal, also known as Tension, has a lengthy criminal history. His record includes crimes ranging from attempted murder to activities involving explosives, with cases spanning from Manghopir to Kharadar. Similarly, Haris, known as Ram Janay, has previously faced allegations of involvement in serious offenses such as armed robbery and drug-related crimes.
