Over 50 Afghan Nationals Arrested in Major Late-Night Operation in Karachi’s East Zone

Police in the city’s East Zone took more than 50 Afghan nationals into custody in a major operation late on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, who were allegedly residing in the country without legal documents.

This targeted combing and search operation was conducted by the District East police at multiple locations. Officials confirmed that the operation was focused on various areas, including hotels and other sensitive locations within the jurisdiction.

This large-scale police action was carried out on a special directive issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Zone, Zubair Nazir Shaikh.

All individuals taken into custody during the raids have been identified as Afghan nationals. Further investigations are underway based on their residential status.
