10 Apprehended in Capital Crackdown; Drugs and Weapons Seized

Ten individuals, including five proclaimed offenders, were taken into custody during a city-wide police operation that also resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of narcotics and illegal armaments.

According to a police report today, operational teams from the Koral, Khanna, Humak, and Bani Gala police stations apprehended five suspects allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

During these arrests, authorities confiscated 381 grammes of hashish, 730 grammes of heroin, a pistol with ammunition, and two daggers from the possession of the accused.

Formal cases have been filed against the apprehended individuals, and further inquiries into the matter are currently underway.

In a separate but related development, a special campaign targeting wanted individuals resulted in the arrest of five proclaimed offenders and absconders by various police units.

The recent operations were conducted following specific directives from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of a sustained effort to secure the federal capital.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Operations, Qazi Ali Raza, affirmed the force”s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents. He stated that no elements would be permitted to disrupt public order and that protecting citizens remains the force”s principal objective.

The police service has also appealed to the public to report any suspicious individuals or activities to their local station or through the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline, emphasising that cooperation between citizens and law enforcement is vital for eradicating crime from society.
