A wedding ceremony on Faisalabad Road was dramatically disrupted today when a valuable garland of dollars was brazenly snatched from the groom just moments after his arrival at the wedding ceremony.
The incident occurred at Jhang Palace Marquee as the wedding procession was entering. A group of allegedly unknown young assailants targeted the groom and swiftly snatched the decorated garland from his neck.
The culprits escaped swiftly by scaling the walls of the wedding hall, disappearing before they could be apprehended by guests or staff.
The stolen garland, which was made of dollar bills, was reportedly worth four hundred thousand Pakistani rupees.
Law enforcement officials from the Satellite Town police station were summoned to the scene. After assessing the crime scene, they have launched a formal investigation into the robbery.
