On the 130th birth anniversary of Liaquat Ali Khan, who played a key role in the formation of Pakistan, a delegation led by prominent figures expressed dissatisfaction over the government’s neglect of his services. The delegation, including Pakistan Muslim League Council Vice President Muhammad Younis Siani, Karachi Grand Alliance, and Chairman of Muhib-e-Qaum Social Council Aslam Khan Farooqui, led by Muhammad Aslam Khan, visited his grave at the Mazar-e-Quaid.

The delegation included Zahid Hussain, son of the national flag’s creator Master Afzal Hussain, educationist Syed Anwar Hussain, and senior journalist Tehseen Kamal, among others, who laid floral wreaths and prayed for the well-being of the country. They expressed their displeasure at the lack of official recognition on this significant day and appealed for national-level ceremonies to be held for the leaders of the Pakistan Movement.

Aslam Khan lamented the absence of any government official at the mausoleum, calling it a significant oversight. Younis Siani emphasized the importance of Liaquat Ali Khan’s timeless services, which he said are forever etched in the nation’s memory. Farooqui highlighted the leader’s significant role in fostering enduring relations with China and in the formulation of the Objectives Resolution.
