In a significant move to fulfill financial obligations, Muhammad Yousuf, Chairman of New Karachi Town, has issued cheques worth Rs 7.2 million to retired officials and the families of deceased employees. During the cheque distribution ceremony, attended by Vice Chairman Shoaib bin Zaheer and various town officials, Chairman Yousuf emphasized the importance of transparent payment of dues. He praised the diligence of the department responsible for financial management, which successfully cleared the outstanding amounts for former employees and their heirs.

Chairman Yousuf clarified that all unpaid dues were inherited from the previous administration, and his administration has prioritized the settlement of these financial liabilities. He announced that all dues for employees retiring this year have been settled, and processes are underway to ensure timely payments for future retirees.

The Chairman further explained that the New Karachi Town Welfare Department has sent over 150 files to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) for pension processing.
