An important meeting was held on Thursday, led by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Naeem Khan, aimed at the expulsion of illegal Afghan laborers from local coal mines. The meeting was attended by Commander 87 Wing Shahid Bilal, SP Dukki Syed Zahid Hussain Shah, and members of supplier and coal mine organizations. The focus of the meeting remained on strategies to resolve this critical issue.

Deputy Commissioner Khan expressed deep concern over the employment of illegal Afghans in the mining sector. He urged the mine owners to immediately terminate and expel these illegal laborers, warning that in case of non-compliance, the mines would be sealed, and legal action could be taken against the owners. The Deputy Commissioner reminded that the Government of Balochistan has already ordered the expulsion of illegally residing Afghans, making it imperative for mine stakeholders to strictly and promptly comply with these directives.

He emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for the violation of these rules and regulations, stating that violators would face strict accountability measures. The meeting also highlighted the commitment of local authorities to enforcing immigration laws and upholding legal compliance within the mining industry.
