Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani is set to engage in a series of crucial bilateral meetings with global parliamentary figures as he spearheads Pakistan’s delegation at the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference currently underway in Barbados.
The significant international gathering brings together speakers, lawmakers, and official representatives from member states across the globe for high-level discussions.
Gilani’s agenda includes several one-on-one engagements on the sidelines of the conference with parliamentary leaders and key global figures to discuss matters of mutual interest.
Prior to his departure for Barbados, the Senate Chairman was in London where he held separate talks with British Member of Parliament Mohammad Yasin and the Deputy Mayor of Slough, Asim Ranjha.
Discussions during the London engagements centered on strengthening Pakistan-UK bilateral relations, enhancing parliamentary cooperation, and acknowledging the important role of the overseas Pakistani community.
