Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has asked the country’s leading businessmen to come up with actionable proposals to significantly boost economic and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the United States.

The business community made the request during a dinner held in Washington, DC. The event was hosted by Pakistan’s Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, according to official information released today.

During the interaction, the Finance Minister apprised the attendees of the country”s improving economic outlook. He noted that an upgraded credit rating by respected global agencies has helped revive the confidence of the business world in Pakistan”s financial stability.

Mr. Aurangzeb outlined the government”s focus on achieving macroeconomic stability and implementing wide-ranging structural reforms. He highlighted specific initiatives aimed at streamlining regulatory processes, improving the taxation system, and tackling long-standing issues within the energy sector, State-Owned Enterprises (SEOs), and the privatization process.

In response, the participating entrepreneurs and business leaders assured the minister of their complete support in helping translate the government”s economic vision into a tangible reality.
