On Tuesday, Second Additional District and Sessions Judge Khairpur, Syed Ehsan Haider Shah, while announcing the verdict, ordered the immediate release of the accused Jinsar Ali Sethar. The court ruled that the charges against the accused could not be proven.
The case began with a First Information Report (FIR) registered at the Shaheed Murtaza Khairpur police station on February 19, 2024. The complainant, Mushtaq Hussain Sarki, a contractor in the Khairpur Irrigation Department, reported the incident.
According to the initial complaint, Jinsar Ali Sethar, along with Imran Ahmed Mahar, Wazir Ali, and several other unidentified armed individuals, allegedly robbed Sarki of one million rupees at gunpoint in the Ustad Gahi neighborhood.
Defense lawyer Abdul Ghaffar Mahar confirmed that the complainant failed to prove the allegation in court, leading to the acquittal. Although Sethar has been acquitted, the court has formally declared the other nominated accused as absconders.
According to reports, Sethar was the only individual arrested in connection with this robbery, having been apprehended by authorities from Shikarpur.
