A railway line was damaged in a blast in Shikarpur on Tuesday, prompting a high-level response from Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar who ordered an immediate inquiry to apprehend the “terrorists” responsible for the sabotage.

In a directive issued to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shikarpur, the home minister has sought comprehensive details of the incident. Stressing the gravity of the situation, Mr. Lanjar directed that “the investigation be initiated immediately”.

The minister emphasized the need for swift action and accountability, demanding that the individuals behind this act of sabotage be arrested without delay. He stated that “the terrorists who damaged the railway track should be brought to justice as soon as possible”.

Mr. Lanjar ordered a thorough and evidence-based approach to the investigation, insisting that the culprits be identified and tracked down through careful police work. He added that “the perpetrators should be reached through concrete evidence and investigation”.

The Sindh Home Minister also directed that he be kept personally informed of the inquiry’s progress. Signaling his direct oversight of the case, Ziaul Hasan Lanjar said, “I should be kept informed of all the details of the investigation”.
