Sahar Yaab Adabi Forum’s Chairperson and renowned poet Professor Shaista Sahar has said that teachers are playing an important role in the better formation of society, therefore the government should take immediate and effective measures to solve the problems faced by teachers.

Professor Shaista Sahar said that teachers continuously enlighten students with the light of knowledge and provide important guidance. She credited the immense hard work, patience, and sacrifices of the nation’s teachers for the students’ progress towards their destinations.

She said in her statement, “A teacher holds an important place in any student’s life.” She explained that while parents play an important role in the physical development of children, the teacher plays a key role in their mental and intellectual development.

The Chairperson emphasized that no matter how much tribute is paid to those associated with the teaching profession, it will always be less than what they deserve. She said that saluting the services and compassion of teachers is not an annual event, but should be a continuous process of appreciation and respect.
