A group of 30 of the nation’s most promising U19 women’s cricketers will assemble in Karachi for a high-stakes skills and fitness camp, where their performance will directly determine the squad for an upcoming five-match T20 series in Bangladesh.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Friday that the intensive 20-day program is scheduled to begin on Saturday, 18 October, at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre. The session, concluding on 6 November, brings together talent identified during the recent National Women’s U19 T20 Tournament.

While the immediate focus is the December tour to Bangladesh, the initiative also serves as a foundational step in preparations for the ICC Women’s U19 World Cup 2026-27. The camp aims to build a strong pool of players for future international success.

Participants will engage in a comprehensive regimen including specialized skill development, fielding drills, and regular net sessions under the guidance of PCB-appointed coaches. The schedule is also packed with consistent strength and conditioning workouts to enhance physical prowess.

Beyond on-field training, the program is designed to cultivate well-rounded athletes. The young players will receive briefings on essential topics such as anti-doping regulations, game awareness, media interactions, and the specific playing conditions across different cricket formats to foster discipline and professionalism.
