The Punjab government has taken a decisive step to eliminate bribery from its offices. With complete digitalization in the Civil Secretariat and government offices, this revolutionary move will save millions of rupees and improve transparency and efficiency in administrative processes.

As a result of this transition to a digital process, all documents and files will be managed through the e-Filing and Office Automation System (e-FOAS), which will replace the old paper-based system. The disposal of all hard copy files from the Civil Secretariat marks a significant shift towards modern governance.

This initiative is expected to cut stationery expenses by more than 80%, significantly reducing the stationery budget. The implementation of e-FOAS will speed up the workflow, enabling digital tracking of all files. If a document is delayed without reason, an alert will be immediately sent to the Chief Secretary’s office so that the situation can be rectified promptly.
