KHAIRPUR: A nine-member delegation of professors of Anthropology, Sociology, Archaeology from Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand paid a visit to the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur on Thursday.
Meritorious Professor Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Khushk, Pro-Vice Chancellor warmly welcomed the delegation. The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Yukti MUKDAWIJTRA, Prof. Dr. Sudden WISUDTHILUK, Prof. Dr. Terra SINDECHARAK and others.
Professor Khushk briefed the delegation about the academic, research and development of the University. He said, Pakistan and Thailand enjoy friendly relations. This visit will pave a new avenue on the promotion of academic linkages on archaeology, anthropology and sociology.
Dr. Khushk remarked that the Indus civilization is rich in term of culture, civilization and history. He said, in future, the academic collaboration and Memorandum of Understanding will be inked for the promotion of cultural linkages and research and education purpose.
Mir Mohammad Khokhar from JOBS Trust Pakistan said, we have developed cultural and educational relationships with Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand. He informed that SALU has established a space “Pakistan Corner”. Under this corner, conferences and exhibitions have been organized with help of SALU V.C
Prof. Dr. Yukti MUKDAWIJTRA assured that Thammasat University, Bangkok will bridge the linkages program with Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur on diversified areas i.e. Anthropology, Sociology and Archaeology because there is great potential on these areas in term of research.
Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mohiuddin Veesar, Director, Post Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Taj Mohammad Lashari, Media Coordinator, Ibrahim Khokhar, Syed Farooque Shah Rashdi, Imran Ali Soomro, Registrar SALU and others were present on this occasion.
