KARACHI:The first ‘National Students Conference’ was held here Friday for law students.
It was organized under the banner of Justice Helpline, whose head Nadeem Sheikh welcomed the participants.
The guest of honour was Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah and conference was presided over by Justice (R) Khalid Ali.
Federal Secretary Law and Justice Commission Dr. Raheem Awan, Justice (retd) Majida Rizvi, Minister Industry, Sports and Youth Affairs Mohammad Baksh Mehar, Federal Secretary Communication Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Attorney General of Pakistan Anwar Mansoor Khan, Justice (R) Shahab Sarki, Professor G.M Qureshi, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Advocate Azam Iqbal, Atam Parkash and others were present.
Sindh Minister for Industry, Sports and youth affairs Mohammad Baksh Mehar in his speech said that students should also take part in sports activities.
We are working so that youth development centers are reopened and we are also launching website and helpline number to resolve youth problems, he added.
Abdul Haseeb Khan said there are two groups of lawyers one group wants arrest of political leaders and other wants to release them.
Attorney General of Pakistan Anwar Mansoor Khan took oath from the law students present in the conference.
