KARACHI:Sindh police on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with best educational institutions of the metropolis for provision of free and discounted education to the children of police martyrs and on-services policemen.
A ceremony in this regard was held at the Central Police Office Karachi which was attended by IGP Sindh Dr Syed Kaleem Imam, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Welfare Dr Rizwan Ahmed, representatives of renowned schools and owners.
According to the agreement, Educator School will provide free education to 200 children of martyred policemen while 200 children of on service police will get discount education facility up to 50 percent in their monthly fees.
Similarly, Allied School will provide free education to 38 children while 76 children can get 75 percent discount facility. Aziz Milat School will provide free education to 12 children while 24 students will get 50 percent discount facility.
Maryum School and Crescent Group of Scholl will give free education to all martyred policemen’s children while on service policemen’s children will get education with 50 percent discount. Beside Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology reserved two seats for martyred and on service policemen’s children.
IGP admired AIG Welfare Dr Rizwan Ahmed for taking better measures to provide best education to the children of police employees. He said the initiative will open opportunities to the children to get education from renowned schools, colleges and universities.
