Abbottabad: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that if the government was unable to provide any relief to the masses, at least it should not deprive them of two times meals.
Addressing a JI Ijtema at Abbottabad on Friday, he said that the rise in the dollar price would bring a flood of price hike and curtail the purchasing power of the Pakistanis’.
He said it seemed that the internal mafia was conspiring to reduce the value of the Pak rupee in order to ruin the country’s economy. He said the deteriorating economy could be stabilized only through an across the board accountability of the corrupt and recovery of their ill-gotten wealth.
He said that a new elected government had taken over. The PTI had made tall promises to build the country’s economy and assured that it won’t seek IMF loan. He said the nation was looking for any relief from the rulers. He said that mere slogans of Ehtisab won’t help improve the economy as the big plunderers would have to be brought to accountability.
Sirajul Haq said that the JI was the biggest upholder of the unity of the Ummah as it talked of the Ummah instead of sects and groupings. However, he said, Islam’s enemies wanted the Muslim world to remain divided and weak so that they were able to grab the resources of the Muslim states.
The JI chief said that the oppression of Indian army in Held Kashmir had increased but the rulers in Islamabad were silent over that which had further emboldened India. He said that the government should have lodged strong protest over Indian atrocities in Kashmir as it would have its impact.
The JI chief accused the United Nations as a club dancing to the tunes of the US. He said the UN had always remained silent over the oppression going on the Muslims in Kashmir and Palestine and added that the Muslim world would have to unite for the solution of its problems.
