LARKANA: A four-year boy Shahmir son of Khurshid Shaikh was bitten by a stray dog in Dodai village, near Larkana on Saturday. He was bitten in the face and elsewhere when he was sitting outside an agricultural land where his parents were working.
He was rushed to the Dog Bite Vaccine Centre established at the Emergency Department of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for treatment, management and vaccination. His wounds were dressed and an ARV vaccine was also administered to him to protect him from rabies.
His heirs told newsmen that they were working in the field when a stray dog bit the child and escaped. They said they rushed him to the hospital for treatment as he was bleeding. The boy was bitten in the face as well. After getting treatment and vaccine the little boy was allowed to go home.
