KARACHI:Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in collaboration with International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) is celebrating 100 years of International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) along with the launching ceremony of World Disaster Report 2018 titled ‘Leaving Million No One Behind’ on 25th April 2019 at JS auditorium, IBA Garden Campus.
The event aims to highlight the challenges faced by humanitarian organizations in providing effective humanitarian response to the vulnerable people. Keeping in view the global agenda of 2030 of Sustainable development goals, the symposium will feature panel discussions by people from international humanitarian organizations, academia, philanthropy and decision-makers from the government.
PRC Sindh Chairman will talk about why we need to prepare our resources and work collectively to tackle future disaster. Mr Thomas Gurtner, Head of Country Office, IFRC will talk about the findings of World Disaster Report and its importance in context of Pakistan.
PRCS National Chairman Dr Saeed Elahi will brief about Pakistan Red Crescent activities in providing humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable people in times of disasters.
