KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday extended interim bail of former minister and Pakistan People’s Party leader Sharjeel Memon till April 7.
A SHC bench headed by Justice Umar Siyal heard a bail plea filed by Sharjeel Memon and other accused who also appeared before the court.
Justice Umar Siyal rejected National Accountability Bureau’s reply over amendments in NAB law.
As the NAB’s counsel submitted his reply over amendment in law, the justice remarked: “This is not the right answer over the amendments in NAB law.”
On the observation of the honorable judge, the NAB’s lawyer said they will submit a complete report in another case on February 28.
The court summoned reply from DG NAB Karachi and Sukkur in the plea and extended Sharjeel Memon’s bail till April 7.
Memon was arrested by the NAB in 2017 and remained in jail for 20 months. Later, he was granted bail.
