Islamabad, March 12, 2019 (PPI-OT): 2nd meeting of the Standing Committee on Defence Production of the National Assembly was held today i.e 12th March, 2019 in Committee Room of Defence Production Division, Pak Secretariat-II, Rawalpindi, under the Chairmanship of Chaudhry Iftekhar Nazir, MNA.
2. The Secretary Ministry of Defence Production welcomed the participants of the Committee. The Chairman of the Committee appreciated the role of Pakistan Armed forces on their professional response against Indian aggression during last few days. The Committee unanimously admired the professionalized capability of the Pakistan’s armed forces and expressed its unity with Pakistan army.
3. The Secretary Ministry of Defence Production briefed the Committee about the working and functioning of the Ministry and its attached departments. The Committee considered the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) presented by the Ministry of Defence Production and recommended that the same may be included in the financial year budget 2019-20
4. The meeting was attended by MNAs, Prince Muhammad Nawaz Allai, Mr. Niaz Ahmed Jakhar, Mr. Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, Mr. Hussain Elahi, Mr. Salahuddin, Ms. Saira Bano, Chaudhry Abid Raza, Ch. Mehmood Bashir Virk, Mr. Nasir Iqbal Bosal, Mr. Nadeem Abbas, and Syed Abrar Ali Shah besides the senior officers of Ministry of Defence Production.
