Srinagar, October 12, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have strongly condemned the ongoing brutal repression by Indian occupation regime in the territory. Tehreek-e-Muzahamat Chairman Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui in a statement issued in Srinagar said that different Indian agencies like National Investigation Agency in the garb of raids are indulging in worst kind of human rights violations across Jammu and Kashmir.
He said summoning around 50 teachers and terrorising them in the name of investigation is yet another brutal tactic being employed by trigger-happy Indian occupation forces. He said that the killing of youth in Islamabad and Hajin adds to the long list of heinous war crimes perpetrated by occupational forces with full backing of their political masters in New Delhi. In last on week, he added, more than one thousand youth have been arrested by different Indian forces and agencies. “Pro-freedom leaders and activists are systematically targeted for standing up against the tyrant and colonial regime of New Delhi and its imperialist occupation.”
From the past 75 years, Jammu and Kashmir has been turned into a Nazi type concentration camp where people are facing worst kind of brutalities under the illegal and illegitimate occupation of India. However, Bilal Siddiqui reiterated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir would continue to struggle against illegal and illegitimate occupation of New Delhi and would never surrender before India’s worst military might and colonialism.
Meanwhile, Democratic Political Movement Chairman Khawaja Firdous in a statement in Srinagar denounced the arrest of party General Secretary Pir Hilal Ahmad by Indian forces during a raid on his house and his shifting to an unknown location. He said, New Delhi should know that it cannot suppress the freedom struggle through arrests. He urged the international community to come forward in a big way to rescue the Kashmiris from Indian aggression.
Jammu and Kashmir Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi Chairman Abdul Samad Inqilabi while denouncing killings said that India has made life of the Kashmiri people a hell in the territory. He made it clear that India could not deter Kashmiris from their struggle for right to self-determination through military might.
International Forum for Justice Human Rights JK Chairman, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, in a statement said while all the killings are abominable but arresting civilians and then killing them in fake encounters amounts to war crimes that the Indian government has been carrying out in IIOJK for the last three decades.
He criticised the people who condemned the killing of members of minority communities in IIOJK and remained silent at the bloodbath of the Muslims. He said this reflects the mind-set of such individuals that they can go to any extent to appease the minority and silently justify the killings of majority community.
Untoo said over one thousand people have been detained in the last few days and nobody has even condemned these oppressive measures of the Indian government. He said that summoning of teachers by India’s National Investigation Agency is actually aimed at criminalising these teachers and deprive the Kashmiri students of education. He said these measures will have a direct impact on the education of the children.
Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) Spokesman Mohammad Iqbal in a statement issued in Srinagar said that bloodshed in Kashmir was the result of non-resolution of the Kashmir dispute. “If India is sincere in stopping the bloodshed and the human loss in the region, then it should come forward and start a meaningful dialogue with Pakistan and real representatives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement General Secretary Dr Mus’ab in a statement while expressing serious concern over the continued killing of Kashmiri and arrest of thousands of Kashmiris urged United Nations, EU, and OIC to compel India to shun military and rigid policy on Kashmir and release all political detainees.
