Karachi, July 19, 2018 (PPI-OT): Provincial Caretaker Minister for Irrigation, Public Health Engineering and Rural Development , Inter Provincial Coordination and Excise and Taxation Mushtaq Ahmed Shah has said that Narcotics Control Wing of Sindh Excise Department will be made effective and functional soon and will be facilitate as per requirements as it is very important to do so because this wing may play a vital role in curbing the activities of drug peddlers across the province.
This he said while getting briefing from Director General Narcotics Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui here in his on Thursday. On this occasion Director General Narcotics Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui informed the caretaker minister Mushtaq Shah that there were as many 328 posts of various cadres in Narcotics Control Wing and mostly were needed to be filled.
He added , ‘ The total number of posts in Directorate General Narcotics Sindh are 79, in Hyderabad are 70, in Mirpurkhas are 45 , Shaheed Benazirabad are 35 , in Sukkur are 58 and in Larkana are 41 ,and out of which 45 are of Narcotics Inspectors’.
The caretaker provincial minister for Irrigation, Public Health Engineering and Rural Development, Inter Provincial Coordination and Excise and Taxation Mushtaq Ahmed Shah asked the DG Narcotics Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui to move summary for the recruitment of officers from grade 14 to onward through Sindh Public Service Commission in order to maintain transparency. The DG Narcotics Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui appraised the caretaker minister regarding issues faced by newly created Narcotics Control Wing ,over this the Provincial Caretaker minister Mushtaq Shah assured him to resolve the issues on priority basis.
