SHIKARPUR:A rice mill clerk was deprived of Rs0.9 million cash by some group of unidentified armed men on gunpoint in day light at his working place within the limits of Stuart Gunj police station near here on Monday.
According to a report, one more rice miller clerk identified as Ravi Kumar was looted of Rs0.9 cash by three armed men on gunpoint when he was working at his rice mill in Kirri Nawab Khan town near Shikarpur.
It may be recalled that the law and order situation of district Shikarpur has been worsening day by day since last few months as heinous offences, including dacoities, snatching of motorcycles, road robberies, murders, kidnapping for ransom, and thefts, have risen.
The shopkeepers and businessmen blamed police for their failure in controlling the crimes. A large number of traders and businessmen have strongly condemned the incident of robbery and demanded of Sindh police to take solid measurers and recover the looted cash.
