QUETTA: Spokesperson for Mustarika Baluchistan Bus Transport Federation, Mir Mehmood Khan Badini, has called on authorities either to compensate the affected of Sariab road widening project as per the market rate or provide alternate lands to the affected. In a statement issued here on Friday, he said that no citizen could be deprived of his or her basic rights. He said that the government of Sindh provided residential plots to the affected of Lyari Express Way, but the government of Baluchistan and district administration Quetta were reluctant to do so.
He said that the affected of Sariab Road widening project had the right either to be compensated as per market rate or they could be provided with alternate lands in other areas of Sariab Road. He called on Chief Justice, Baluchistan High Court, to take notice of the issue and direct the authorities either to compensate the affected of Sariab road widening project as per the market rate or provide alternate lands to the affected.
